Megan

MEGAN WEST
Host, On the Verge
Home: New Jersey
Has Been Seen: Rushing around campus because she is always late to class, splitting her time between her many jobs, in the library or on Facebook… sometimes in the library on Facebook.
Planet Verge story: Megan became involved with Planet Verge after attending a Hanson concert with Joelle. She was welcomed with open arms and went out with the girls for a celebratory cup of coffee and was harassed by a homeless woman who, apparently, just wanted a pack of jelly. She graciously accepted the job… and the challenge.
Job that pays the bill: Starbucks. Even when she’s not working; she’s there.
Job(s) that keep the sanity: n/a
An ideal Saturday: Sleeping in past 6 am, sunny morning laying in the backyard with her iPod, sunglasses, iced tea, and a magazine with an identical Sunday to follow.
Favorite article of clothing: Black skirt with a flower print. $10 from H&M.
“I love it because I can dress it up or down and wear it with almost any shoes.”
What’s on her Netflix Queue: 30 Rock; all seasons, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Good Burger, From Hell
What’s on her grocery list: Apples and Nutella.
“It’s possibly the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted and with the apples is a deadly combination
”
Who she loves: Johnny Depp. Hands Down. Brilliant actor and incredibly handsome. I have a life size cardboard cutout of him as well as a miniature, hand-crafted paper mache model of him, and every night I rest my head on my Captain Jack Sparrow pillow case…it’s a collectors item.
Most starstruck moment: Moving into my apartment from my hometown in South Jersey, hot, sticky, and sweaty I decided to cool down with an iced tea from Starbucks. As I wait for my drink, wiping the sweat off my brow, I spotted him. Jack Donaghy, from my absolute favorite show, 30 Rock. Jack Donaghy is played by an actor named…ALEC BALDWIN. I stared for a few moments, then paced back and forth, my heart racing, and I finally mustered up enough courage to speak to him. I begged my pardon hoping that I wasn’t interrupting something important and was fearful of his reaction to a fan but was pleased when he introduced himself to me and ended with a “see ya around”… ugh.. just telling that story gives me butterflies.
My advice to you: Is to actually listen to other people’s advice; you don’t necessarily have to take the advice but just get as much insight about something as you can before making a huge decision. As tough as it is to believe in this world, the people who actually care about genuinely have your best interest in mind. Also, be sure to say Thank You….
