My PV story: I met Jordana at a yoga teacher training class and quickly recognized the potential for a new music friend. When she said PV may need help covering shows, my ears perked up like a puppy’s and the rest is magic.
Job that pays the bill: I supposedly manage risk at a large bank. I do this with my cunning use of Microsoft Powerpoint.
Job(s) that keep the sanity: Writing on music, playing pool badly, do-gooding on occasion.
An ideal Saturday in my world: Coffee, and reading by day, dive bars, PBR, and great company by night. Post-bar pizza wouldn’t hurt either.
Favorite article of clothing: Jeans.
What’s on my Netflix Queue: Yeah, I don’t even know what that is.
What’s on my grocery list: Fruits and veggies that don’t require more prep than “boil water.”
Who I love: Airborne Toxic Event, Jukebox the Ghost, Unwritten Law and Rise Against, as well as various other real life family and friends.
Most starstruck moment: Once I was working an event at the UN Delegates Dining Room with Jim Simons (genius, philanthropist, and chain-smoker of Newports), who was pretty geektastic on his own, but then we saw Ban Ki Moon, the U.N. Secretary-General, too! There were security guys everywhere and then this little smiling Korean man. He’s adorable in real life.
My advice to you: Love what you love and don’t apologize for it – music or otherwise.
My favorite sites:
- NYMag.com
- Daily Intel
- FUPenquin
- Craigslist – dreaming of a new job, better apartment, and laughing at the Personals section.
