In July I went to the Bristol based street artist Banksy’s exhibition in London’s Covent Garden. It was quite a moment for me since I’ve longed to see his work in a context other than printed within a book. The gallery was full of his trademark stencil pieces spanning over a decade of his career. [...]

Before I get into the nitty gritty that is Peter Andres career I just need to clarify that although I’m Scottish please consider me in the thought group of 99.999% of our nation. We DID NOT and still DO NOT want the Lockerbie bomber to be free. The fault of his freedom lies in the hands of people with too much power and, ironically, no compassion at all. Also, our country is nice. You should visit sometime. You’ll be quick to see that no one other than Kenny MacAskill wanted to free Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi . Our castles are pretty cool to look at as well.

On a complete side note to this post, I couldn’t endorse Butch Walkers new website www.therecordbusinessisfucked.com with more enthusiasm if I tried. It’s worth mentioning again because anyone who missed the extensive article about this little nugget of independent rebel ion should use their little fingers, type in the address and head on over now [...]

A book review. A book review?! Apart from the mass of ‘arty farty encyclopaedias and design tutorials, there’s not much that’s makes for good reading in this abode – Unless you count the Dog the bounty hunter biography which, by the way is awesome! Having heard the awkward underground chatter about ‘Everybody hurts’, it was [...]

I’ve always been quite a charitable person. I do my [...]
Major labels – Falling on deaf ears?
Major record labels – falling on deaf ears?
There is no denying that the mainstream music labels (EMI, Sony BMG, Warner, and Island/Def jam) are in a critical yet sorry state at the moment. After the redundancy of 1800 EMI employees in December, problems have surfaced concerning the future of music industry employees and even the [...]

I don’t really know how to sell Jamie T to people. He’s catagorized as ‘Rap, regae, punk’ So [...]
