Rosewood GhostsRosewood Ghosts InnerView with Jamie DiTringo (Guitars/Vocals)

I call Hoboken, NJ home.

I want to plug… We recently released our self titled debut album, which is available on iTunes and Amazon, and are back in the studio writing new material. Two weeks ago our friends at LocalBozo.com filmed live videos of two unreleased tracks called Wait For You and Lying On the Tracks at Paul Vincent Studios in Hoboken. The videos will be available on all our websites in the coming weeks.

Listen to my music if you… are excited to find new and original music that defies any one specific genre.

Music is my life because: it is part of my DNA. All I know is music since being a wee little baby. I am always listening to music, writing music, singing songs and creating new dance moves.

I’m most proud of: working with everyone in this band. We are completely independent of a record label and proper management and do everything ourselves. It’s a testament to our love of music (and each other) that we meet 2-3 times a week at our studio in Hoboken to write new material and play our music after a day at the office.

The first song I ever wrote…I used to write songs that went nowhere in middle school and high school. While in college I started to seriously write music and play in some bands. One of the songs I wrote was called “Dagobah Yoda” which by the name was a reference to the Star Wars character Yoda’s home planet of Dagobah. Pretty dorky I know. I am a Star Wars geek.

My current playlist includes: Arcade Fire-The Suburbs, The Black Keys-Brothers, Gram Parsons-Grievous Angel, The National-High Violet and Son Volt- American Central Dust.

Before every show I…try to mimic John Starks dunk over Michael Jordan from Game 2 of the 1993 NBA Eastern Conference Finals when throwing garbage into the trash can.

The desktop background on my computer is…a Gibson SG.

Sometimes you’re the windshield and sometimes you’re the bug. What’s today been like so far? I’m the bug that loves you.

Do you eat breakfast? If so, what do you have? Scrambled egg whites and turkey sausage.

What’s the sexiest thing someone could ever say to you? I wanna make love to you under the Eiffel Tower.

Here’s what’s next from me: In the coming weeks we have shows lined up at Spike Hill in Brooklyn, NY on 9/22, the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ on 10/1 and a special Halloween show at the Bitter End on 10/30.

Web sites I visit daily:
AintItCoolNews, ESPN, Pitchfork.

Big Star is a totally under-rated band.
