CMJ Showcase: A Choir Of Young Believers

For the CMJ Music Marathon this year, I got the chance to attend a couple of showcase performances.

I was sifting through the list of bands on the CMJ website for shows I might be interested in seeing, and I found A Choir of Young Believers. I listened to a few of the songs  and it was “Action/Reaction” off of their debut album, This Is For The White In Your Eyes, which made my decision clear – I was not going to miss their set.

They were playing a showcase at Le Poisson Rouge (a fantastic venue) on Bleecker street in Manhattan on October 22nd. It was a great performance, and I definitely made it my first priority after their set to talk to the band and buy their CD.
