Diary of a PlanetVerge Girl: Rockstar Makeover

One thing I love about my job is working with other artists, whether it be photographers, actors or musicians, I get to work with some of the best up-and-coming artists around.  I love working photo shoots, film, music videos and such on the road, but I really feel home in my, well home environment: CanDeVa’s Salon–a family owned salon I run with my mom and grandma.

What’s really unique about an experience at the salon is that with three generations of styling artists with over 50 years experience in the profession, you are guaranteed to get your needs fit. No matter if you’re looking for a retro 50s look or the most modern of styles, between the three of us, you’ll get exactly what you’re looking for.

So I get exceptionally excited when we can do makeovers for other artists. A good friend of mine and talented musician Darin DiNapoli wanted to shake things up a bit with his look for his band Identity-X. (www.myspace.com/identityx) So he ventured from the city to my salon and documented the entire process and it’s become one of his most viewed videos on the Internet.
