Slacker

A few months ago a great friend of mine, Joshua Walker, approached me about doing hair and makeup for a new project his production company was working on called America’s Next Great Star.

 

I love reality shows like American Idol and America’s Got Talent.  The concept behind America’s Next Great Star falls right under the same tree as those. ANGS is  a live interactive entertainment experience that tours the country looking for people of all ages who believe they have a talent that could turn them into an American star! The shows are performed look just as though they were being broadcast on LIVE television!

America’s Next Great Star is a two-part on campus production.

PART ONE: The production staff of America’s Next Great Star will hold an open casting call on your campus. Students with all types of talents are encouraged to show our producers what they’ve got. Singing, dancing, contortionists, musicians, and magicians are just some of the talents we are looking for! Each candidate will step in front of the camera and have a brief interview with an America’s Next Great Star producer. The Next Great Star casting calls are a high-energy, buzzworthy, exciting on-campus event.

PART TWO:  From the open casting call, America’s Next Great Star producers will select 8 to 10 finalists to compete in our LIVE production show held on your campus. The 90 minute stage show is performed as you would see a live reality talent competition on TV. An incredible light show, giant video wall displaying multiple cameras, local judges, a host, and special effects are all part of the show! Live text voting from the audience decides who will be your campus’ Next Great Star and win a cool cash prize of up to $500!

ANGS is a great concept for what America is always itching for-more. Reality TV shows like American Idol still seem to rank pretty high in ratings. ANGS is basically a colleges private version of that same idea.
